Riverview Gallery was established 11 years ago. We are located in the beautiful historic Seaboard RR Building situation directly on the Elizabeth River. We anchor the river end of the Olde Towne Portsmouth commercial district, and are directly in front of the ferry service to Norfolk, Va., our sister city across the river. We represent an eclectic group of over 100 fine artist and fine craftsmen, with sizable collections of paintings, photography, sculpture, pottery, glass, wood work, fiber and jewelry. We are open 7 days a week at 11 a.m. and close at 5pm on Sunday through Thursday, and 8pm on Friday and Saturday. The First Friday night of each month, from 5pm to 8pm, we have an opening reception for a new show, complete with refreshments, live music, and great art! A number of other art related business adventures in Olde Towne also have special events that evening, with crowds moving from one venue to another throughout the evening. Riverview Gallery is known for our affinity to bright colors and items of whimsy, but are always seeking quality work that is unique. Our relatively long existence has led us to being well informed as to where we can find that which our customer might be seeking, even if it is not in our current inventory.
